Security Reminder
A refund (return) limit is still in effect for all accounts. If you do not want this setting, please contact our Customer Support department if you have not already done so in the past.
Security Updates
Basys IQ has completed the implementation of improvements to the security of the system and data. Card information now uses a stronger level of security called tokenization and is stored as a Basys Token.
Intermittent Issues
Browsers can retain portions of code to assure faster loading, but sometimes the code may be out-of-date. If you encounter any error messages you are not used to experiencing when processing card transactions, first attempt a hard refresh of the web page. For PC users, this is accomplished with the Ctrl+Shift+R key combination, while Mac users can use the Cmd+Shift+R key combination to force a reload of the code from the website to your browser.
Masked Card Numbers
With these improvements, you will only see masked card numbers in the card number field immediately after a swipe or after a manually entered card number is processed. This is the traditional format of first digit, followed by Xs and ending in the last 4 digits of the card (e.g. 4XXXXXXXXXXX1234). As there is a unique Basys Token underlying this masking, the field will not be editable after this point.
For new transactions created from prior transactions or rolodex records, use the Click to Edit Card Number button to change the card number.
